Summer Programs

  • Martha Guy Summer Institute for Future Business Leaders: Open to high school juniors who are interested in business as a future college major. The program runs three weeks in July at Appalachian State. The deadline to apply is February 26th and applications can be found Here

 

  • Duke University’s Summer College for High School Students: Open to 10th and 11th graders. Students can apply beginning December 1, 2015. This is a credit bearing program. For more information click this Link

 

  • Duke University’s Summer Academy for High School Students: A noncredit bearing program that is open to all students grades 9-11 beginning December 1st. For more information visit Duke Summer.

 

  • Summer Ventures in Mathematics and Science: Program open to rising juniors and seniors who are interested in a STEM career. This is a free program and applications are due January 31st. Click STEM for more information

  • HOBY – stands for Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership program.  This is a national program where we will nominate one 10th grade student to attend a weekend seminar the summer after their 10th grade year.  Students interested in fostering their leadership skills ought to apply. Click here
